Rather than trying to fit this trip to my current curriculum class, I found another course that might work better because it is a general ed course, which is the category of course they want us to use.

Course Blurbs and Essential Objectives

EDU-2340   Teaching in a Global Community   3 Credits

    3. Discuss the impact of an emerging global community on local teaching practices.
    4. Discuss the psychological, political, social, and economic dimensions of global society as it functions in schools and communities.
    5. Integrate global perspectives into an existing curriculum.
    6. Develop a collection of globalization strategies and resources for use in a future classroom.
    7. Describe the influence of culture on practices of teaching and learning.
    8. Reflect on and assess individual sociopolitical and cultural beliefs in relation to education.

S you did not write this? This is a course that CCV offers and you want to try to put the trip into this course? Can this language be changed or is this the mold we have to fit into?

Sorry for the delay.  Suddenly I realized I was supposed to walk with Sveta at 1:00.  Just got back - and we got snowed on!  My hands a not working right for typing...
So I took a look at that website and they have lots of books there - I will spend time perusing.
The workshop idea is great!  Yes, let's build that into the syllabus, for sure.
As for the Essential Objectives, no, I didn't write those.  CCV writes all of the EOs for every class they offer and we need to choose from the approved list.  I chose this one because it meets the General Education category requirements (or rather, strong suggestion) mentioned on the request for proposal.
More when my poor hands warm up...
