The Hundred Languages of Children: The Reggio Emilia Experience in Transformation [Paperback]
Carolyn Edwards
(Editor), Lella Gandini
(Editor), George Forman
(Editor)
Here is my other favorite
pick. It’s an edited book so it has a collection of pieces by different authors.
These often are the best since each topic is covered by an expert in that exact
topic. I read a review of another Reggio book. The author suggested this book
because she felt it was a translation of Italian to English instead of a
translation of Reggio to American. Interesting huh? Also, it’s a 2001. I’d opt
for two great, more expensive books than three cheaper ones. The same author
said she felt that Reggio books often cheapen the philosophy by offering easy
starts or “Reggio made simple” claims. She says there is no shortcut to Reggio
and I think it’s a nice message to convey with a couple of dense books.
